Something slightly different from my normal fashion post today - but I am so excited to share this experience with you! Thanks to Scotts® and EcoScraps® , I was able to attend the Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) right here in Arkansas. The BFF is all about promoting women and diversity in the film and media industry. I love that this incredible festival's mission is to celebrate diversity in American film making! I had such a good time hanging out and walking around - downtown Bentonville is the cutest! The weather couldn't be more perfect and I had a blast walking around and taking in all the festival has to offer! The BFF has tons of things to do - you can stop and get your photo taken by the gorgeous Step and Repeat Wall in the sponsors village by Scotts® and EcoScraps®, walk around and check out all the fun booths (most of whom have fun freebies for you to take home) and if you hang out long enough, you might even spot some celebrities! If you're anywhere close to the Northwest Arkansas area, you should check it out! The BFF is a fun, family friendly event and it will be going on until May 8th!

First of all - can we talk about that gorgeous greenery wall? Bravo Scotts® . You officially made me want one of my own. Hah! I might need to work on my gardening skills first. While I was at the event, I was able to stop by the EcoScraps® display where they had their own (adorable) little garden center.  Turns out, the EcoScraps®  team was here visiting from California! They told me a little bit about the backstory of the company. During college, EcoScraps®  two founders realized how much food was being wasted on a daily basis. With a little research and determination, they found a way to take this waste and turn it into something sustainable! EcoScraps® uses recycled food waste to produce nutrient-rich garden products. So instead of clogging up landfills, you're able to grow plants! And not only is EcoScraps® super environmentally friendly, but they also partner with incredible organizations, like Feed America, to reduce waste.

While I was at their booth, I was able to plant some dill seeds which should sprout in a few weeks! It's definitely encouraging to see how much good this company has done. They've already recycled over 75 million lbs of food waste, and that number is only growing. They have composting sources all over the US and work with tons of grocers and food suppliers. So once a product reaches it's expiration date - instead of simply being thrown out, it's used to make their organic soil which comes in a variety of types including a potting mix and moisture control gardening soil.

So if you're like me and all of a sudden want to plant a flower oasis in your backyard - you can check out Scotts® and EcoScraps®  for all your eco-friendly needs! It's a great way to take care of our environment and allows us to live in a healthier, more eco-friendly way!
