Heyyyy Fall (sort of)

So, in blogger world, it's totally fall. But....would someone please tell that to Arkansas, because it is still HOT. Let's just say, I might have been sweating a bit (a lot) during this shoot. But for all of you already in fall weather - you lucky ducks - I hope you are enjoying all the sweaters and boots your heart could desire!

Fall is my absolute favorite season, both weather and fashion wise! This sweater is super cozy, and it has pockets which is a WIN. It's a perfect length and a neutral color so it goes with anything. And sadly, this top is sold out. But there's just something about a high neck top paired with tons of jewels - gets me every time. My motto has 100% become, when in doubt...add more jewelry.

I recently received these chunky statement rings, and although they're fun on their own - they're even better stacked! My motto is more is more. When in doubt, add a few more layers. Fruity Fun

I may not be a fan of the heat, but I am 100% a fan of summer fashion. Bright florals, vivid colors and in this case - fun fruits! I recently ran across the CUTEST boutique on Instagram, Farmers Daughter Boutique. They carry some of my favorite brands and have the best sense of style. Every time I scroll through their Instagram, I'm like "I want that, I want that, I want that" - because it's all adorable! These ruffle shorts paired perfectly with this fruity top. And if this top doesn't scream "summer" I don't know what does. It's perfect for vacation or just a casual weekend. Seeing as though I will be stuck at grad school all summer - it's the perfect outfit to brighten up my Saturday's!

Love is Greater

I am STILL on Christmas break, and let me tell you - it's awesome. I don't think I fully realized how exhausted I was. If we're being honest here, grad school isn't what I thought it'd be. It kind of sucks. Okay...really sucks. But it just makes me that much more thankful for a break! I've been spending my time sleeping, eating and watching netflix. Is there anything better? I think not.

I recently came across a new company, Hello, Grace, and am newly addicted. Her designs are just as cute as can be and combine fashion + positivity.  I got the Love is Greater sweatshirt and have already gotten so many compliments on it! Not only is it super cozy, but I love that I can promote an outlook that I wholeheartedly agree with. Love IS greater. Greater than my stress, worry, happiness and sorrow - love will always win. 

I hope y'all have been having a fabulous New Year - I am so thankful for each and every one of you who have supported me in my blog! Crazy to think I just started blogging last year - what a year it has been and I can't wait to see the road ahead!

Fall Transitions

Do y'all remember this skirt? I styled it a few weeks ago (check it out here) with a crop top - but today I'm showing you how to make your fave midi skirts fall-friendly. This sweater from Loft is SO SOFT! If they had it in other colors, I would own them all. It's cute with jeans, skirts, shorts - even tied over a dress. So I figured it would be the perfect piece to pair with my TJ Sewer skirt to transition into cooler weather! And to glam it up a little, I added in my Lisi Lerch Tassel Earrings and studded heels. I'm officially about to start my 4th week in graduate school and can I just say that I've NEVER been this exhausted? This week was only 4 days, thanks to Labor Day, and it was still the longest week of my entire life! Any other grad students out there? Is everyone this insanely busy? Craziness! But I got these sunnies in the mail last week and it was just the pick me up I needed! Can we talk about these for a sec? I mean, hello! Can I have a pair in every color!? I love how retro they are and they have a cat-eye shape which is always my fave! And yes, I paired it with the iconic chambray ruffle dress. I've been seeing it on every blogger in the entire world all summer and eventually broke down and ordered one. But I absolutely love it - definitely a good purchase! To top it all off (I know you're all shocked because I never wear these...wink, wink) I added my favorite pair of Lisi Lerch tassels!
