Book Worm Casual

Currently re-reading one of my all-time favorite books, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. If you haven't read it yet - you NEED to. Story gets me teary eyed (in a good way) every time. I think this is my 6th time to read it and it just gets better and better.

It feels oddly like fall in Arkansas again, but hey...totally not complaining! But when it's not cold enough for a coat, but not warm enough to go without I always reach for my military jacket! I love pairing it with patterned neutrals like this button-up from Evy's Tree! It's kind of an almond-eque tan which I was slightly worried would wash me out (because y'all know I'm super pale) but I was definitely wrong! It's a warm neutral that would flatter any skin-tone. And it has the cutest pink flower detailing on the inside of the collar for a little added flair. But I will say, if you're a little larger chested like myself, order a size up because this button-up is fitted! But trust me, this top will quickly become a closet staple. I love mine!

School Girl Blues

I just started my final placement of graduate school (serious praise hands) and am working at an elementary school, which I absolutely love! But the one downside is that I can only wear jeans on Friday, and seeing that the majority of my wardrobe is jeans, I've been doing some shopping - which let's be honest, I'll take any excuse to shop. Hah! But I've been stocking up on comfy dresses and cardigans.

This cardigan is going to be a staple this semester! It's the perfect length, plus it's lightweight which makes it ideal for layering. I decided to pair it with a chambray shift dress, but as it's fairly neutral, this cardigan would pair well with almost any dress! Plus is crazy soft (as is everything from J.Jill) so you'll be cozy all day long.

And you know me, I couldn't resist a little shimmer, so I topped it all off with my favorite rose gold purse. Be sure to shop this look below!

Metallics for Fall

Chunky scarves....plaid....booties, you could say I'm currently in fall fashion heaven. I know I've said this before, but I will NEVER get sick of fall fashion! It's my all time favorite. So when I saw this plaid midi-dress with metallic stripes from Maude, I knew it needed to come home with me.

Best. Decision. Ever. Y'all - this shirt dress is such a good length, and super soft! Plus it can be worn as a dress (as pictured here) or you can style it open as a long kimono! I decided to pair it with one of my favorite scarves and some metallic accessories. Although this shirt dress will be getting plenty of wear this fall, I'm also excited to wear it this winter - it'll be perfect for the holidays!

Winter Style + Wood Watch

We had a few brief weeks of gorgeous weather (I'm talking 70 degrees) and then all of a sudden - freezing again. But, thankfully I picked up this gorgeous coat at the Dillard's Sale this weekend just in time for the cold front. Now at least I can suffer the cold in style, am I right?

Y'all remember when the new iPhone came out in rose gold and everyone was obsessed? I'm 100% still in the rose gold obsession phase and this watch is the perfect solution. It has the most stunning rose gold face accented with Swarovski crystals. And the band is made with Koa wood, making it the most unique watch I've ever owned! It's a classic piece that goes with everything. Be sure to check out all of the unique wood watch options here! And I linked my specific watch style down below too.

And good news! I've partnered with Jord Wood Watches to host a GIVEAWAY! Enter here for a chance to win $129 towards any watch in their shop!

Well, I don't know about you - but I'm going to be praying for warmer weather (or at least snow...if it's gonna be freezing can I get a snow day?).

Hands Producing Hope

I am SO excited to tell you about a new company today! They're called Hands Producing Hope and just so happen to the makers of this adorable tee and necklace. BUT, regardless of how cute their products are - I'm here to talk to you about something else. Hands Producing Hope is a company whose heart is to provide employment and hope to women in other countries. They are currently working with 22 incredible women in Costa Rica, and are expanding their program to Rwanda! Hands Producing Hope is coming in to give these women a way to provide for their family and thrive in their community. Some of these mamas have had to place their children in feeding programs just so they'll get 3 meals a week.

I am so incredibly excited about this company and all the good they are doing in this world! They're currently in the fundraising process for Rwanda and need any help they can get! If you feel called to give - please visit this link! By donating not only are you changing the lives of the women and children they help, but you're also helping to change a community! You can also help support the women in this organization by purchasing their gorgeous jewelry here

Bad Blood - 1989 Tour

So...I'm not ashamed to say that I am 100% a Swiftie. I have been since her first album came out in 2006.  Her songs have consistently been my ringtone for 9 years and I've woken up to her albums on full shuffle, every morning, ever since 2006. Taylor has gotten me through every phase of life - happy, sad, angry, heart broken - you name it, she's got a song for it. Honestly, there's no better therapy than driving around in your car, windows down, singing your heart out to a Tay Tay song. I've been to every tour (minus Enchanted which I'm still upset about), so OBVIOUSLY I had to get tickets to a 1989 stop. I was lucky enough to score pit passes to Red and although we won't be quite as close this year, I am still like a kid on Christmas Eve. Y'all. I cannot wait! I have two midterms in grad school next week, should I spend this weekend studying? Yes. But obvi Taylor gets priority, so we'll be driving 8 hours to Omaha this weekend and I'll be "studying" in the car (my grades will forgive me later, right?).

So yes, my sister and I may both be in our twenties - but clearly we had to make themed shirts (based on the Bad Blood music video because let's be real, it's epic). Clearly I'm trying to channel my inner Gigi (Slay-Z), while my sis is obviously Hayley Williams' (The Crimson Curse) twin. We're also both 5'10 and will more than likely be rocking heels in hopes that we'll stick out in the crowd and maybe Mama Swift (or Taylor herself) will invite us backstage to join the partayyy. Don't worry, I'll let you know if we officially join the "Girl Squad" (a girl can dream, ammirite!?) So, needless to say, we are BEYOND excited and can't wait to jam with the Queen this Saturday! I hope you can all enjoy the pure sunshine that is a Taylor Swift concert at some point in your life. And Taylor, if you ever see this - give me a call girl. I think we could bond over our love of baking, cats and winged eyeliner.
