How to Wear Designer on a Budget

I honestly don't know how I'm just now discovering ThredUp, but y'all. HOLY MOLY. It's a huge online thrift store and whoever thought of this knows my love language. I loveee a good thrift find, and having an online searchable database is a huge win for me.

As soon as I saw this Kate Spade dress, I knew it needed to join my closet. And seriously, y'all will not believe the price. This dress is originally $478. Drumroll please......I got this dress for $92. That's $386 off. I can't make this stuff up people. Such a steal!

Not only do they have have high-end designers, but they also have the basics (Gap, Banana, J.Crew etc) - all for incredible discounts. And most items don't show many signs of wear. I swear the dress I got is in total mint condition. I don't think I'm ever going to buy anything full price again.

Do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and check them out! PS - here are a few of their style tips!

Fashion on a Budget

Okay...let's get it out of the way. I was photo-bombed by a cat. Yes, a cat. But at least he's cute, right?

And I'm sure that it's no shocker to you that my obsession with off the shoulder tops continues! I've completely lost track of how many I own now - but they're so perfect for this unbearable summer heat. But I'm excited to say that this one from She Inside is UNDER $13!! Serious bargain. It's really long, so you can wear it tucked in with shorts or a skirt - but I'm also planning on wearing it with some leather leggings and booties in the fall. The fabric isn't sheer and it washes up like a champ.

So for that cheap - you need it. I wish it came in other colors because I would totally buy them all! Shop this look below.

Seeing Stripes with Zaful

I think stripes are my ultimate pattern love. Don't get me wrong, I love a good polka dot, but stripes have always been my favorite. So when I ran across this striped swing dress, I knew I had to have it! It's super affordable - under $20 from Zaful - and it's ridiculously comfy. So easy to throw on and go for a casual weekend, or a day exploring on vacation! Zaful is the perfect website to head to when you're looking for a fashion forward piece that isn't going to break the bank. Their site is easy to navigate and they can ship it to you in no time.

Affordable Fashion with Zaful

As most of you know, I'm currently a graduate student. AKA my budget is incredibly tight and I don't have much money to spend on shopping - and, as I'm a shopaholic, that can be tough!

Well ladies and gents, I have good news. Zaful is an online shop that brings fashion directly to the customers (skipping the middleman), resulting in affordable fashion for the trendy girl on a budget. I picked out a few pieces from their website and received them in about a week in the mail! They were double packaged (a package in a package) - which I love because it keeps the clothes neatly folded and clean.

As soon as I spotted that blue off the shoulder top, I knew I needed it. The chambray color is the perfect summer neutral and goes with everything. I love the ruffled shoulders and it's slightly cropped so it's the perfect length for high waisted shorts. I also snagged this red ruffled shoulder dress. I know....obviously my obsession with ruffled off the shoulder items is out of control. The color is a vibrant orange-red and although it's a little short on me (keep in mind that I'm 5'10), it was still totally wearable. And red/pink is my favorite summer color combo, so I topped it off with some pale pink accessories!

This was my first time shopping with Zaful and I can say that it won't be my last! I think it will be one of my go-to sites when I'm searching for that perfect, on-trend item (at a price that won't break the bank).

All Tied Up

Unless you're living under a rock - I'm sure you know that tassels and ties are a HUGE trend in the fashion world right now. The '70s have been making a major comeback recently and I couldn't be more on-board! Lace-up detailing is an easy way to make a big fashion statement with minimal effort.

I've been seeing these shoes everywhere and am so excited to finally add a pair to my closet! The ties make them incredibly easy to wear (because they stay on your feet) and the chunky heel is walking-friendly! This pair is from one of my fave boutiques, Indie, and you can find these shoes here (and use code MUSINGSOFGLITTER for 20% off your entire purchase)! Bonus, they're only $42! And more good news - this boho floral top is available here and it's less than $18! If you haven't ordered from She Inside yet, you're missing out! They offer high quality items at crazy cheap prices and I'me excited to say that from 6pm on May 15th to 6pm on May 16th they are offering free shipping with no minimum order!

Both of these items are SO affordable and an easy way to add a few new summer trends to your closet!
