Peach Princess

The detailing on this dress is insaneeeee. I couldn't even capture all of it on camera, it's even prettier in person! It makes me feel like an enchanted wood fairy princess. I will say - it's a light peach color, which isn't the most flattering on my skintone; but for those of you who have a bit of a tan or darker coloring, this would be STUNNING on you. The little flowers and embroidery throughout have gold detailing that sparkles in the light and the applique flowers are beautifully delicate. This would be perfect for any formal events! It runs true to size, but if you're busty - I would size up.

Baby Blue Dreams

To say that I'm obsessed with this little blue number is an understatement. The button up dresses have been such a big trend all summer and I'm excited that it's transferring into fall as well! This color is to die for (but it also comes in peach, black and tan) and the midi length makes it perfect for cooler weather.  I will say, I'm pretty tall - so for you shorter girls out there, this may be closer to a maxi dress on you. I opted to keep the accessories neutral and go with minimal makeup. But this is easy to dress up with a red lip and some heels! The slim waist line makes it flattering on every body type. It will definitely be a dress I reach for time and time again!

Life is Sweet

Life CAN be sweet - and what's sweeter than a little pink gingham sundress?! I can't lie...part of me feels like Little Bo-Peep in this dress....but part of me loves it. Hah! It's so sweet and perfect for summer! The dress has a little layer of tulle to keep the skirt nice and full - clearly perfect for twirling in front of murals. I kept the Little Bo Peep theme going with braided pigtails - but this dress could easily be made a little more sophisticated with a sleek high pony, some heels and a pair of statement earrings. Classic Summer Style

Y'all. I know summer just started - but here in Tennessee it's already hotter than hades, I've been breaking out the shorts and tank tops! I love this lace top from my friends over at Chicwish. This is perfect for those warm summer days. It's super trendy and fashion forward while still keeping you cool in the southern heat.  If you have a larger bust - you may want to size up! And as much as I love a classic white top with jean shorts - I felt like it needed a little extra color with some fun accessories.

Attention Brides!

Hey friends! It's been a while. But, I'm finally back and working on some fun projects for y'all! With summer upon us - it's time for picnics, parties, and weddings. This dress y'all. The detailing is even more gorgeous in person! And it's under $100 from Chicwish. I snagged the white - one of my favorite colors for summer and it is SO perfect for any brides out there. This would be the prettiest rehearsal dinner or shower outfit! I kept the accessories neutral and added a little color with a plum lip. This dress runs TTS and has a lace up back so you can tailor the fit.

All in the Details

There's nothing like some good detailing...and the pearls on this sweater dress are no exception. Pearl accents are a huge trend right now and I'm finally getting in on the action. I love the pearls in combination with this light grey color. It makes for the perfect neutral look with an unexpectedly modern twist. This is a great transition piece for spring - the length is just right and it has a high neck cut - still warm, but you can show a little leg with booties or some thigh-highs!

When you have a loud top, keep the accessories simple. I added the black boots along with a classic black bag. If you don't have a "staple" black cross body in your closet, you should consider adding one. I almost always reach for a basic black bag throughout the week! It goes with everything. I love this one from Radley - it's a good size to hold everything I need, without being bulky; and the leather is high-quality and so gorgeous in person! I love that the strap is detachable, so I can also carry it by the handles if I prefer. Radley has a bag for every style, so definitely check them out if you're in the market for a new staple purse!

Do y'all ever have those days when you just can't deal with real clothes and want to spend the day wrapped up in a blanket? Because this is the struggle I deal with every weekday. Hah!

When you work with kids (or not), you just want to be comfortable. I'm running around all day, getting up and down off the ground - there is no room for heels and skirts. But I'm fashion lover down to my core, so part of me always wants to feel semi-chic. So, when I opened my latest package from my friends over at Chicwish, it was like the heavens had opened and dropped down this vest.

It feels like the softest blanket you've ever owned and is soooo comfy. I'm obsessed! Now, yes...it is a furry, fluffy statement - but when paired with all black underneath, it looks sleek and chic. Oooo, y'all. This coat has officially stolen my heart (and it helps that I worked with two amaze photographers on this shoot - their sites are linked under the photos). It has been crazy cold here in Nashville this past week which means that I've had 4 glorious snow days, but have been wearing a ridiculous amount of layers. It's hard to look fashionable when you feel like a marshmallow, but alas, this coat is the perfect solution! It's super thick and heavy, which was surprising considering the price point (under $100), and this plaid print is even more stunning in person. The print makes a bold statement, so I layered it over a fairly simple outfit to keep the focus on the coat. But I couldn't resist a little pattern play, so I finished the look with a fun leopard bootie.

Most of the coats I've invested in have been simple - either gray or black. And although I highly suggest having a few staples in your closet, I have to admit...this coat makes me feel so chic. I would have never thought to add a statement coat to my wardrobe but I am SO glad I did. It adds an element of fun to every outfit and is yet still so versatile. Dress it up, dress it down, keep it simple, or add layer various patterns to spice it up. I can't wait to wear this coat all winter long!
