Kimono Love

Ooooo y'all! I am SO excited to break out all of my kimonos. They are quite possibly my all-time favorite fashion piece - so comfy, cute, and they cover up that extra guac at Chipotle if you know what I'm saying...

When Eccentrics Boutique had this gorgeous maroon kimono, I had to have it. I know maroon in fall is nothing new, but it will always be one of my go-to's. This particular one has cute little trim and a tan floral print throughout. It was the perfect match with this tan knit tank! Whenever you can mix fashion and comfort - I am totally game. And this combo is the perfect mix!

And on a side note, I recently had my hair done! I went in to my fabulous colorist - Lauren at Euphoria Salon in Conway, AR - and had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. And per usual, she read my mind and went above and beyond! I know people typically go darker for fall, but I'm loving this cooler blonde! Guess we'll see if blondes really do have more fun.

Happy fall y'all! I hope you're enjoying the cooler weather!

Heyyyy Fall (sort of)

So, in blogger world, it's totally fall. But....would someone please tell that to Arkansas, because it is still HOT. Let's just say, I might have been sweating a bit (a lot) during this shoot. But for all of you already in fall weather - you lucky ducks - I hope you are enjoying all the sweaters and boots your heart could desire!

Fall is my absolute favorite season, both weather and fashion wise! This sweater is super cozy, and it has pockets which is a WIN. It's a perfect length and a neutral color so it goes with anything. And sadly, this top is sold out. But there's just something about a high neck top paired with tons of jewels - gets me every time. My motto has 100% become, when in doubt...add more jewelry.

Gorgeous Gingham

I've always had a soft spot for gingham. There's just something about it that makes me feel like I've been transported to the 50's. And with fall right around the corner, it can be hard to find a gingham dress that fits the season! But don't worry ladies - I've got you covered.

My friends over at Dainty Jewell's designed this gorgeous number, which is also available in pink and can be made in midi (what I'm wearing) or maxi length! And its available in sizes small to 3XL, so you can be sure you'll find the perfect fit for you height and body type! This dress is easy to dress up with heels or dress down with sandals and is perfect for transitioning into cooler weather.

Working Out on the Go

As a full time graduate student and a part time blogger, I don't always have have time to hit the gym. And let me tell you - grad school school isn't so forgiving on the body. Hah! Between the lack of sleep and no time to ever actually cook, I basically live on pizza. So whenever I have the opportunity to add a little workout into my schedule, I take it!

But for those crazy days when you don't have a minute to spare, I finally found an easy way to fit in a little extra exercise! These little leggings from Sweetflexx have built in resistance bands. They add 4lbs of resistance with every step. They were tested at a sports lab and were proven to burn an extra 30-40 calories for every 30 minutes of walking. And since I'm guilty of wearing leggings quite often, it's an easy way to bring the gym along with me!

These leggings not only burn extra calories, but they can help tone your legs, glutes and lower core too. They are such an easy way to feel like you're getting a workout when your short on time because they always fit into your schedule! I am absolutely obsessed with these leggings, and I know you all will be too! They're super comfy, but you can definitely feel the resistance! Plus - they're machine washable which is a necessity for me. These have quickly become my new weekend wear obsession! They also have a super cute pair with mesh panels which might just have to be my next purchase.

Check them out below and grab yourself a pair while you can! And you can use code "glitter" for $25 off! Such a steal.

Black Romper of my Dreams

Okay....let's go ahead and talk about it. I am incredibly white in ALL of these photos. You know when you're out doing a shoot and then you get home and look at them and realize that your lighting decided not to cooperate. This totally happened with this shoot. So although I am incredibly fair - I promise in real life, I'm not quite so "vampire-esque". So please be so kind as to ignore the horrible photo editing as I tried to correct for the craziness glow of my skin. Hah!

But let's move onto this romper, because Y'ALL. It's all of my favorite things in one - off the shoulder, black, comfy AND a romper. Win. But it's from my friends over at Chicwish, so I would expect nothing less. This romper will for sure be my go-to for nights out of the town with my girlfriends! It also comes in white and burgundy and has these killer, flowy sleeves! I paired it with a choker, a bright lip and my favorite sunnies.

Biker Chic with Zaful

This is my "biker babe" meets Sandy from Grease look. Hah! There's just something about a leather (or faux in my case) jacket. Put it on, and instantly feel like you're too cool for school. This one is under $40! And of course, top it off with a choker and some geometric sunnies and you're ready to conquer the world.  And the best news - the jacket, choker AND sunglasses together are under $50! Such a steal. Head over to my friends at Zaful to get them! I styled mine with my fave pair of dark flare jeans along with a black tank, but this would look cute over a dress as well! You can also pair it scarves as we head into fall! Zaful has tons of great transitional pieces at affordable prices!

Denim on Denim

I've always loved the full on denim look - but I never really knew how to style it. It can be slightly intimidating to wear a full on denim look. But here are a few easy rules to follow - as long as you're not wearing the exact same shade and you've got a few accessories that aren't denim - you're golden. Hah! Everything in moderation, right?

I paired this chambray denim button up with these dark rinse boot cut jeans (both from J.Jill)! To break up the denim a bit, I added in a few accessories. I find that a little leopard makes every outfit look instantly more chic. And my final touch was the limited edition pearl charm Compassion Fund Bracelet from J.Jill. 100% of the proceeds from this triple wrap bracelet go to support homeless and disadvantage women become self sufficient. So you can look cute while supporting a great cause!
