Edgy Date Night // Valentine's Edition

Decided to bring a slightly edgier Valentine's look to the table. If you're looking for something a little different this Valentine's day, this is it! I've been super into leather jackets as of recent (as y'all know, because this one has already been on the blog - but I'm obsessed) and it's the perfect way to add a little sass to any outfit.

I snagged this gorgeous maxi from Tobi and instantly knew it would be the perfect match for a leather jacket. It's the prettiest burgundy color. This wrap dress is made of a long silky material with a thigh high slit and I felt like a total rockstar in it! It does have a small slip underneath, but as a girl who's 5'10... it's a little short, so I would wear some spandex shorts under this one to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. This look is perfect for date night, galentine's or dinner out on the town! This outfit is super versatile and so easy to dress up or down. Change up the jacket, shoes or makeup and you have a totally different feel.

Wishing y'all a happy Valentines!

xoxo

Kendra Love

Hello. My name is Emily, and I'm a Kendra Scott addict.

If you've been following me for any amount of time, you know that I have a Kendra obsession. Her jewelry is absolutely gorgeous - and every time I think that she can't out-do herself, she releases a line even more fabulous! And this winter collection is no exception. Their latest metal, Hematite, is quickly become a new staple of mine. It's a little softer than Gunmetal - but still smokier than typical silver. It's perfect for the holiday season!

This Mackenzie Pendant is a part of the new line and has the BEST clasp ever! It has a sliding bead closure so you can style it as a choker or a pendent and get it to the exact length your heart desires. And don't get me started on these Madison earrings. I'm pretty sure Kendra looked into my soul before designing these bad boys. Blinged out ear climbers!? Yes please. These will be making an appearance at EVERY holiday party I attend this year.

Check out her new winter collection here. Trust me - you need it all.

Biker Chic with Zaful

This is my "biker babe" meets Sandy from Grease look. Hah! There's just something about a leather (or faux in my case) jacket. Put it on, and instantly feel like you're too cool for school. This one is under $40! And of course, top it off with a choker and some geometric sunnies and you're ready to conquer the world.  And the best news - the jacket, choker AND sunglasses together are under $50! Such a steal. Head over to my friends at Zaful to get them! I styled mine with my fave pair of dark flare jeans along with a black tank, but this would look cute over a dress as well! You can also pair it scarves as we head into fall! Zaful has tons of great transitional pieces at affordable prices!

Shop this look below! And check them out on Facebook!

Never Enough Sparkle

Anyone else sick of crazy heavy earrings? I love statement pieces, but I'm always afraid they'll stretch out my ears! So, once I got an email from Brinley and Co, I was 100% interested. Earrings made out of leather? I was slightly skeptical - but as soon as I put them on, I became a leather believer! They hang well, still make a statement and are SO light that I even forget I'm wearing them. And the best part - no stretched out earlobes at the end of the day!

And on another note - this scarf is only $14.50 and is the softest scarf you'll ever own. So if you're looking for new blanket scarves this fall, be sure to check it out! Get all the outfit details below.

Bad Blood - 1989 Tour

So...I'm not ashamed to say that I am 100% a Swiftie. I have been since her first album came out in 2006.  Her songs have consistently been my ringtone for 9 years and I've woken up to her albums on full shuffle, every morning, ever since 2006. Taylor has gotten me through every phase of life - happy, sad, angry, heart broken - you name it, she's got a song for it. Honestly, there's no better therapy than driving around in your car, windows down, singing your heart out to a Tay Tay song. I've been to every tour (minus Enchanted which I'm still upset about), so OBVIOUSLY I had to get tickets to a 1989 stop. I was lucky enough to score pit passes to Red and although we won't be quite as close this year, I am still like a kid on Christmas Eve. Y'all. I cannot wait! I have two midterms in grad school next week, should I spend this weekend studying? Yes. But obvi Taylor gets priority, so we'll be driving 8 hours to Omaha this weekend and I'll be "studying" in the car (my grades will forgive me later, right?).

So yes, my sister and I may both be in our twenties - but clearly we had to make themed shirts (based on the Bad Blood music video because let's be real, it's epic). Clearly I'm trying to channel my inner Gigi (Slay-Z), while my sis is obviously Hayley Williams' (The Crimson Curse) twin. We're also both 5'10 and will more than likely be rocking heels in hopes that we'll stick out in the crowd and maybe Mama Swift (or Taylor herself) will invite us backstage to join the partayyy. Don't worry, I'll let you know if we officially join the "Girl Squad" (a girl can dream, ammirite!?) So, needless to say, we are BEYOND excited and can't wait to jam with the Queen this Saturday! I hope you can all enjoy the pure sunshine that is a Taylor Swift concert at some point in your life. And Taylor, if you ever see this - give me a call girl. I think we could bond over our love of baking, cats and winged eyeliner.
