Perfect Fall Jacket

I've officially found the perfect light jacket. You know those days where it's a little too chilly to just wear your normal clothes....but you don't want to break out a full coat? This is the solution my friends. It adds a little bit of warmth - but not too much, making it perfect for those brisk fall days! Plus it's gorgeous, so that's a bonus. I love the quilted puffer look! And you can never got wrong with a good neutral color, it goes with everything. Including my all time favorite fall outfit - a plaid button up with skinnies!

Layering Neutrals

It's finally October! Woo hoooo! One of my favorite months. So I'm busting out all the stops. Booties, sweaters, hats - all the layers my heart desires.

When it comes to layers, I love pairing neutrals. It's SO easy - and perfect for those days you don't want to put a ton of thought into pairing pieces together. For this look, I went with the brown/taupe family. I snagged this tank on sale from Anthropologie, and paired it with my go to skinnies. Then I added the most gorgeous cardigan from J.Jill. I mean...can we talk about these pockets? So cute. And fair warning - this is a heavy weight sweater. Perfect for fall and winter!

Coziest Sweater

Big, chunky sweaters are quite possibly one of the best things about fall. Nothing cozier than bundling up with some hot chocolate in a warm sweater by the fire, right? This cardigan has officially become my go-to "it's freezing outside, but I still want to look cute" sweater. You know how some of the chunky sweaters can make you look....um, chunky? Hah! This sweater somehow still manages to keep you nice and toasty, while also still looking fashion forward and avoiding the dreaded sweater frump.

I added a pop of color with a head scarf. Good news is - this one from J.Jill supports their Compassion Fund so you can shop for a cause. I love when I can purchase a piece whose proceeds go to something I support. The compassion fund supports community organizations help disadvantaged and homeless women become self-sufficient. Girl power at it's finest.

Comfy Fall Layers

Comfy clothes are the best clothes. Once I started graduate school - I began wearing scrubs daily. Let me tell you....once you go scrubs, you never go back. Hah! The thought of wearing jeans on the weekend seemed like torture, so leggings became my new best friend. And as one who has worn leggings all throughout college, I now consider myself a "legging connoisseur" of sorts. I've tried just about every brand imaginable, but somehow you always end up with stretched out or faded leggings after a few weeks.

I just recently stumbled upon Yummie by Heather Thomson and y'all. Legging game changer. I started wearing her Milan leggings and fell in LOVE. So much so, that I got another pair....and am seriously considering getting a pair for every day of the week. These are the perfect amount of stretchy, they never fade or stretch out, and they're a little higher waisted which I love. They're thick....but not too thick if you know what I mean. Thick enough to be opaque, but not so thick they're hot. Y'all - I know I sound like I'm some type of crazy legging legging, but these are seriously THAT good.

They're also perfect to wear with tunics, this one is from Yummie as well! It has little thumb holes to keep your hands nice and toasty. Plus - it has a little hood. It's also super soft and great alone or layered. Shop this look below!

Fall Layers

So...it's already basically winter in Arkansas, but I'm soaking up all the fall fashion I can get. I have a new found love for over the knee boots. They're perfect for when you still want to wear a dress - but it's freezing out. Plus, this pair is super comfy {and won't break the bank which is always a plus}.

For me, layers are a necessity in the fall. I'm hot one minute and freezing the next. This corduroy shirt dress is literally the best! You can wear it by itself or wear it open and layer it with anything. Plus, it's a great neutral color, so it goes with everything! When I'm running out the door, I can grab it whenever I think I may need a jacket later. It was the perfect pair for this lace-up dress. It's short sleeve - but it's pretty thick! Which I love because it's not clingy and it's heavy enough to hang well. Both of these dresses are from my friends over at Shop Maude. If you haven't checked them out yet, you're missing out! One of my all-time favorite boutiques.

And no outfit is complete without a little bling. Y'all know I can never say enough fabulous things about Kendra Scott. And this earring/necklace combo is no different. Plus their new line of necklaces have the best clasp ever. You can slide the clasp to make the necklace into a choker, or a pendant or anywhere in between!

Seeing Burgundy

Burgundy will forever be my favorite fall color. Followed closely by olive. But this maxi dress is
a) the perfect burgundy shade
b) the softest thing ever (duh - it's from the Pure Jill Collection)
c) long and warm and perfect for fall

I love when clothing feels like pajamas and this my friends, fits the bill. It's so comfy and it's thick enough to be warm, but not too thick that you feel like you're wearing a ridiculous amount of fabric. It's perfect with booties for the fall - but I plan on styling it tall boots in the winter!

And of course I added my favorite fall accessories - a good blanket scarf and a military jacket. Shop this look below!

All Laced Up

I'm sure you've already seen this sweater a bazillion times because it's EVERYWHERE this fall. But, I had to post it too because it's just that good. Lace up is a huge trend this fall, so whenever it's combined with a comfy sweater - you know it's going to be in my closet. Plus, it's a great neutral color so it's perfect for layering with vests, jackets and scarves as it gets colder! I kept my accessories pretty neutral but added in some leopard because, let's be real, you can never go wrong with leopard. Just ask Shania Twain (almost dressed up as that for Halloween...and if you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to google it! Hah!).

And I know you're all shocked - but I wore my fave burgundy lipstick again. But like really, I own every shade of this lipstick because I'm obsessed.

Bell Sleeves and Burgundy

Oooo y'all! This top from Chicwish deserves all the heart eyes! Whenever you combine an off-the-shoulder top with bell sleeves - count me in. This is one of my new favorite items. So perfect for fall. It has a slightly stretchy band in the back so it can adjust to fit your shoulders! But if you're like me and have fairly broad shoulders, I suggest sizing up one. But seriously - let's talk about these sleeves for a second. OMG. I feel like I've been transported back to the 70's and I love it.

I paired it with my go-to black choker and added a few burgundy accents. Y'all know I love lipstick, and this is my all-time, holy grail color. Literally stays on all day - eating, drinking, talking, everything - and doesn't budge until you take it off with remover! And this quilted burgundy bag from Vera Bradley is the perfect shade. {PS - have y'all seen their new line?! So different from what their usual style is and it's all soooo good}. Shop this look below!
