Free

Y'all know I love getting to look cute AND send a message. Fight Apparel Designs is a company who allows me to do just that. The founder of this shop is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Elise is fighting Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer and all of the apparel in her shop is inspired by her faith and her journey. This shirt is inspired by John 8:36 "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed".

I can honestly say I need this verse on a daily basis. Graduate school has definitely been hard, like really hard- emotionally, mentally and even spiritually. But this verse always reminds me that I am truly free no matter the circumstances I might currently be in. Free from the stress and worry of this world because the one thing that really matters is that Jesus died for my sins and my soul will forever rejoice His name in heaven.

And I have exciting news! Fight Apparel Designs is offering 15% off your entire purchase on their site with code "EMILY" - so be sure to pick up this inspiring tee, along with other cute goodies!

70's Vibes

Channeling some super 70's vibes with this look today. I love the fact that bell bottoms are back in style! Don't get me wrong - I'm all about the skinny jean, but bell bottoms are a fun variation from the norm. Plus, this pair just so happens to be high rise - which is the cherry on top (see ya muffin top).

Stripes have always been my favorite pattern (closely rivaled by polka dots and plaid), so any chance I have to add more stripes to my closet, I do. This long sleeve striped top from Vintage Willow is made of a super comfy ribbed material and has a cute ruffled back. I'm a true believer that you can never own too many stripes (even if I do have 15 stripe shirts).

And obviously any 70's look has to be topped off with a head scarf. Every time I go to a thrift store I always look at their head scarves. You can find vintage scarfs for crazy cheap - and just throw them in the wash and they're like new! I also layered 4 different necklaces because when in doubt, add more jewelry. And I HAVE to share my excitement because I finally found a locket with my initials on it! There's a fabulous local shop, Mae's, which carries all the vintage jewelry of your dreams. I've been searching for a locket with my initials engraved on it for forever and they finally found this beauty! It's from the 1920's and I'm absolutely obsessed. Always makes me wonder who wore it before me.

Details on this look are below! Enjoy your weekend loves!

Gilmore Addiction

Attention all Gilmore Girls lovers. Do y'all remember the post featuring my Gilmore Girls hoodie? Well, Arsenic and Lace has done it again!  My fave company just released their new line and it's freakin' ADORABLE! But let's be honest, we all knew it would be. You absolutely have to head to their site and check it out! It features Gilmore Girls, Spice Girls, Mean Girls - basically all the "girls" of our lives.

Since I {sadly} can't transport myself to Stars Hollow, I'll just have to head to a coffee shop and pretend I'm in Luke's Diner. This shirt just makes it more authentic though, am I right!?

PS - those of you looking for Christmas gifts, Arsenic and Lace's tees make the perfect gift {I might actually be gifting a few to myself...}

Fall Pattern Play + Lots of Layers

It is finally cooling off here in Arkansas and I couldn't wait to pull out all the plaid in my closet. This buffalo check vest is from Old Navy and is super affordable! Y'all know I love pattern mixing, so I paired it with my striped baseball sweatshirt from J.Crew. And with Arkansas weather - you never know what you're going to get, so I tied a military jacket around my waist just in case! I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many layers during the fall.

I also wanted to share my brand new phone case from Mophie with you guys! Not only does it charge your phone, but it supports a good cause! For every sale of the (PRODUCT) RED juice pack, Mophie will contribute 5% to The Global Fund to help elminate AIDS! It's a win win. Shop this look below!

{and on a side note, I FINALLY JOINED PINTEREST!!! Be sure to follow along here}

Donut Stop Believing

If there's one thing I've learned from grad school so far - it's that I might {quite possibly} be a stress eater. Yes, I know it's horrible, but I've been living off of pizza, oreos and chips for the past 3 weeks. But the all-time best comfort food? Hands down a good donut. So clearly I needed this "Donut Stop Believing" tee! Not only does it feature my favorite food, but it's a good reminder to keep on moving along towards my goal! Grad school is KICKING my butt - but I've realized I've just got to keep my head down and power through! Also, if you haven't checked out Arsenic and Lace yet - you need to! They make this adorable tee and tons of others! Any Gilmore Girl fans out there? They have the perfect tee for you (and me, I'll probably end up ordering one). I'm team Dean forever!

And let's talk about these sunnies for a second. If you're like me - you buy a pair of expensive sunglasses but then never wear them because you're afraid you'll scratch/break them! Well friends, I have the solution! Nectar Sunglasses offers fashion forward sunnies at a price that won't break your bank. So take them hiking, biking, rafting - wherever you want - without the stress! Okay, I'm off to bed (yes, it's 9pm) because like I said, grad school is definitely beginning to take a toll and these 6am mornings aren't getting any easier. Hah! Night all!
