Easy Layering

It's no secret that I love chambray. Pretty positive it's my all time favorite closet staple - it goes with absolutely everything and you can style it in each season. This is one of the most versatile outfits in my closet and I get compliments every time I wear it!

This linen shirt dress from J.Jill is super soft and comfy (as is everything at J.Jill) and is the PERFECT length for all of us tall girls. I'm 5'10 and it's incredibly hard to find dresses that are long enough and this one hits right above the knee. Fair warning, I find J.Jill to run a little on the big side, so I always order a size down unless I want it fairly oversized. I layered it with my go-to jean jacket - I'm 100% going through a jean jacket addiction phase, if you haven't already noticed. And I grabbed the matching chambray hat to top it all off, because why not? Layering is an easy way to get that "effortlessly cool" look while still staying comfy!

Is it Spring Yet?

Pink? Ruffles? Flowers? Check, check, check. Pretty sure my 5 year old self loves this dress just as much as my 24 year old self does. I am in love with this pretty blush number! It's from my favorite local boutique, Shop Maude. Not only is it fun to twirl in (obvious bonus) but it's perfect for spring - which will be here before we know it! It is spaghetti straps, so you could easily wear it on it's own, but while it's still a little cool out, I'll be wearing mine with a denim jacket!

And little tip - I was browsing through Anthropologie's website the other day and low and behold I saw this very dress....for $60 MORE! What? That's nonsense. Grab this beauty for a steal while you can here!

I also wore my hair up in a milkmaid braid (so easy - just two braids pinned up) which I find is a perfect pair for jean jackets, or really anything with a collar. I find that wearing your hair up with collars always makes it look a little sleeker. And of course I pulled out my favorite pair of statement earrings (yes...I have them in multiple colors).

Blushing Florals

I've been waiting months to tell you all about the newly launched brand - Devlin! Devlin was inspired by Parker (who we all know and love) for the millennial girl who wants trendy fashion pieces at a more affordable price point. This brand is officially now available at Dillards and Nordstrom, so be sure to check it out! Their spring collection is to die for, and the release of their summer collection is just around the corner!

I chose this gorgeous floral romper from their spring line. I know y'all have heard me say this 1,000 times, but rompers are my FAVE. I'll shout it from the rooftops. The easiest summer/spring outfit hands down. No matching pieces - just throw it on and go. One and done - so easy! And no worrying about those pesky windy days because it's shorts. I. Love. Rompers. This blush one is the perfect addition to my collection!

I hope you all had a happy Easter!

Step Into Spring

Spring has officially sprung! And with Easter just around the corner, it's time to bring out the bright hues! I teamed up with my friends over at The Mint Julep Boutique to style the perfect spring outfit to wear to church, brunch with the girls (or really any occasion)! This vivid fuchsia screams spring and the dress is right on trend with the high-low hemline. Obviously I had to top it off with my go-to Kendra Scott jewelry and one of my favorite statement necklaces! I've found the more jewelry, the better - when in doubt...add another layer.

I've also had SO many of you ask me about my hair. Hopefully one of these days I'll be able to post a full tutorial. But I use a one inch curling iron and either curl (with the clamp) or wrap my hair around it (in these photos I used the clamp, but typically I use the iron as a wand). Then I set my curls with small metal clips for about 5 minutes, then add lots of hairspray!

Happy Spring!
