Kendra Love

Hello. My name is Emily, and I'm a Kendra Scott addict.

If you've been following me for any amount of time, you know that I have a Kendra obsession. Her jewelry is absolutely gorgeous - and every time I think that she can't out-do herself, she releases a line even more fabulous! And this winter collection is no exception. Their latest metal, Hematite, is quickly become a new staple of mine. It's a little softer than Gunmetal - but still smokier than typical silver. It's perfect for the holiday season!

This Mackenzie Pendant is a part of the new line and has the BEST clasp ever! It has a sliding bead closure so you can style it as a choker or a pendent and get it to the exact length your heart desires. And don't get me started on these Madison earrings. I'm pretty sure Kendra looked into my soul before designing these bad boys. Blinged out ear climbers!? Yes please. These will be making an appearance at EVERY holiday party I attend this year.

Check out her new winter collection here. Trust me - you need it all.

Make a Statement

It's no secret that I love statement jewelry. Manic Trout is a contemporary jewelry brand based in Austin who offers just that - jewelry that packs a punch! I recently received these chunky statement rings, and although they're fun on their own - they're even better stacked! My motto is more is more. When in doubt, add a few more layers. Manic Trout offers rings in basically every color your heart could possibly desire and in every finish (gold, rose gold and silver). They also have adorable bracelets, necklaces and earrings! You can check out their entire collection here.

Fruity Fun

I may not be a fan of the heat, but I am 100% a fan of summer fashion. Bright florals, vivid colors and in this case - fun fruits! I recently ran across the CUTEST boutique on Instagram, Farmers Daughter Boutique. They carry some of my favorite brands and have the best sense of style. Every time I scroll through their Instagram, I'm like "I want that, I want that, I want that" - because it's all adorable! These ruffle shorts paired perfectly with this fruity top. And if this top doesn't scream "summer" I don't know what does. It's perfect for vacation or just a casual weekend. Seeing as though I will be stuck at grad school all summer - it's the perfect outfit to brighten up my Saturday's!

Pretty Plums

Feeling slightly rocker chic in this outfit. This top from THML has gorgeous embroidered details. And when in doubt - add some color. I love plum. Always have, always will. And as soon as I got this ridiculously perfect necklace in my latest Rocksbox, I had to pair it with my fave plum lipstain from Revlon. Throw on some skinnies and add a little cheetah and you're ready for anything!

If y'all haven't tried Rocksbox yet - you are SERIOUSLY missing out. But lucky for you, I have a FREE MONTH for you guys so you don't have to miss out on all the fun. Rocksbox picks out a trio of designer jewelry for you try based on your personal style. A Few of My Favorite Things

I finished my last final yesterday and I am officially done with my first semester of grad school! Wow. To say it has been a crazy, difficult journey is an understatement. I'm definitely ready for a much needed break! Helloooo couch and Netflix.

But I decided to start off break by sharing a few of my favorite things with you!

1. Skye on the Town - This is one of my fave local boutiques (I used to work there, so I might be slightly biased). But if you want to find trendy, gorgeous, affordable pieces, you absolutely need to check them out here or stop by if you're local! My feathery faux fur vest is one of my recent purchases from them and I am totally obsessed. Wonderful people, wonderful customer-service, definitely a must on your shopping list.

2. Loren Hope - Along with Kendra Scott, this is my all-time favorite jewelry brand. It's a little bit pricey, but totally worth every penny. This jewelry is high quality and will last you forever! I got my Jackson Teardrop Earrings at Skye on the Town (which btw is the only boutique in this area to carry Loren Hope).

3. Last, but certainly not least, Ringly - This is an up and coming company who makes wearable technology. Friends, let me introduce you to the smart ring. This little ring has become one of my wardrobe staples. I literally wear it every day! It connects to my phone and alerts me when I'm getting a text, call or email (it can alert you to calendar events and social media too!). It uses various vibration and light patterns, so I know exactly what's happening when I'm not by my phone. It allows me to keep my phone in my purse while I'm out running errands or at dinner with friends, while still being fully connected! Ringly is available in tons of colors, so you're sure to find one that matches your style and personality. All Ringly's are designed with semi-precious and precious gemstones set in an 18 carat matte gold or gunmental plated brass setting. I chose the Emerald ring for the "calming effect" it gives - and because this color is GORGEOUS. And the box your ring comes in is actually the charger! Fashion meets function. And you can use code EMILY10 for 10% off your Ringly purchase!

The Peach Box

Anyone else obsessed with trendy jewelry, but not the hefty price tags? I feel like my taste in jewelry changes every year - so why spend crazy amounts of money on modern pieces when you don't have to?! The Peach Box is an Australian based jewelry company that offers just that - affordable, fashion forward pieces. My newest addiction is ear jackets. I can't get enough! These Pearl Crescent Earrings are the perfect twist on a classic staple, and the Luxe Double Crystal Earrings add just the right amount of bling. Be sure to check out The Peach Box and amp up your jewelry game!

Falling for Plaid

The weather is slowly cooling down and I am beyond excited! Fall is my absolute favorite season and I'm am completely over this heat. So obviously when the temperature finally dropped below 70, I had to get my blanket scarf out! Pairing plaid and stripes is one of my favorite ways to play with pattern in the fall! And this burgundy striped swing dress is crazy cheap over at Old Navy right now! I ended up getting two of the solid colors too because you can never have too many swing dresses, am I right!? I wanted to add a few dainty accessories to finish off this look, so I paired it with these gorgeous cluster earrings and rhinestone cuff from my friend Annette's line - Confetti by Annette! Her jewelry is incredible quality and is made right here in the USA! And they're made of Swarovski crystals, so they are SO sparkly (which y'all know I love)! Get the details down below!

Mad for Plaid

Okay, it's finally beginning to feel like fall and I could not be more ecstatic! Fall is my all-time favorite season - hot chocolate, fireplaces, crisp weather and pumpkin everything? There's nothing better! So in honor of the changing weather, I obviously had to bring out my favorite fall print - plaid! Who doesn't love a good plaid? I've got tons of plaid shirts (even a vest) - but can you believe that this is my first plaid dress?! Yeah - neither can I! How have I been living without this my entire life? Seriously goes with everything. I paired it with my military vest and booties here - but think how cute it will be with a sweater, leggings and riding boots once it's a little colder! Mine's from http://pureheartsboutique.com/ and will definitely be on repeat all season. Be sure to use code "MUSINGSOFGLITTER" for 20% off your purchase! Shop this look below!
