Custom Fashion

Finding the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe can be tough. If you're a giant like me - things are always too short. Or maybe it's too long, or too narrow, or not fitted in the waist. There's always something am I right!? Well ladies, I found the solution! eShatki is a fashion forward, custom clothing company that takes every style and tailors it to fit you perfectly! You can choose the hem length, sleeve type, neckline - you name it! You can customize every piece to fit your style and your body. I snagged this gorgeous off-the-shoulder dress! I customized my hem into a midi and sent in all my measurements so it fits like a glove.

Let me tell you, once you go custom - you'll never go back. Pretty sure I want to order everything from their site. Not kidding. I'm gonna have to limit myself! Check them out here and start your own custom order!

Back to Basics

Back to basics today on the blog. Is there anything better really? This is my go-to weekend outfit when I need to look cute, but still want to be comfy enough to run errands. I pretty much live in jean jackets recently (in case you haven't noticed) - so that was a given. I've literally been leaving one in my car because you can always throw it on; they go with everything! My current fave pairing with denim is stripes. I know...another shocker. But seriously y'all, you can't EVER go wrong with a striped dress. This one is from Shop Maude. It's perfectly lightweight and flowy which makes it awesome for the summer months, but I will warn you that this one is a little sheer - but nothing that a good slip can't fix!

I'm from Fayetteville, so I couldn't resist snapping up this Fay hat as well! Perfect for second day-hair, or for those days you just aren't feeling it. Finally, I threw on my white Keds. Granted, I'm slightly biased as I interned fro Keds - but being totally real they're just the best shoes for running around! Still super cute, but also super comfortable. I call them my "fashionable sneakers" because they feel like tennis shoes without all the bulk.

Easy Breezy

Happy Saturday my friends! I am SO thankful it's finally the weekend. This week has been forever long. I always reach for something casual and comfy to wear on the weekends, and I think I've finally found the PERFECT weekend outfit. This look from my friend Darcy over at Hello Luvvy is seriously the best. This is the first white t-shirt I've ever owned that isn't sheer. I don't have to wear a tank top under it and it's a miracle! Hah! It's thick, but still lightweight enough for summer. And it has side slits so you can wear it tied too. It comes in a few other striped options as well - pretty sure I need them all. It's so hard to find good basics to layer! And to add a little fashion-twist on the basic white tee, I paired it with these fringe hem jeans. It took me a hot second to accept this trend, but now I'm loving it! They add a little something extra to spice up the outfit.

And we can't forget about these heels. I mean, come on! These are gorgeous and honestly, really comfortable for being heels. I have a hard time finding heels that don't kill my feet and these do the trick! I could walk around in these bad boys all day without any pain. Maybe it's the chunky heel and the ankle lace? I don't know....but they're magic and you need them.

Easy Layering

It's no secret that I love chambray. Pretty positive it's my all time favorite closet staple - it goes with absolutely everything and you can style it in each season. This is one of the most versatile outfits in my closet and I get compliments every time I wear it!

This linen shirt dress from J.Jill is super soft and comfy (as is everything at J.Jill) and is the PERFECT length for all of us tall girls. I'm 5'10 and it's incredibly hard to find dresses that are long enough and this one hits right above the knee. Fair warning, I find J.Jill to run a little on the big side, so I always order a size down unless I want it fairly oversized. I layered it with my go-to jean jacket - I'm 100% going through a jean jacket addiction phase, if you haven't already noticed. And I grabbed the matching chambray hat to top it all off, because why not? Layering is an easy way to get that "effortlessly cool" look while still staying comfy!

Blushing OTS

Y'all saw this already on Instagram a while ago because I couldn't contain my excitement. My all-time favorite top is finally available in blush!!! I have this in black and I wear it non-stop. Like, seriously - ALL THE TIME. It's one of the only off-the-shoulder tops that I own that actually stays on your shoulders, it doesn't pop up when you move your arms and the elastic is really comfortable to wear for a full day. The ruffles are universally flattering and I can wear it with jeans in the spring/fall and shorts in the summer. This top is so versatile and I promise you that it will be one of your favorite purchases! Snag it over at Chicwish while you can!

Giving Spring the Cold Shoulder

I love a good cold-shoulder - although I'm sure you've gathered as much as I wear them all the time. It's (obviously) one of my favorite trends right now! It's an easy way to look fashion forward, but it's also perfect for everyday wear. Don't get me wrong, I equally love the off-the-shoulder and chunky heel trends - but I can't really wear either of those to work. So the cold shoulder is the perfect way to remain practical and stylish.

This dress, from Antique Garden, is a pretty floral print, complete with flowy bell sleeves. Bonus - it also hangs really well! Sometimes when you wear a super flowy dress, you end up looking like you're wearing a shapeless sack - but that is SO not the case with this one. I will say it's a little short for us tall girls (I'm 5'10) - but I plan on styling it with leggings for the spring! This would be absolutely perfect for all those spring weddings coming up!

Mint to Be

Is it just me, or does the color mint scream spring? It's always been one of my favorite colors to style. This eyelet dress from Chicwish is one of my favorite pieces from their new collection! It's really versatile and is so easy to dress up or down. Pair it with a jean jacket and flats for a casual look, like I did above; or wear it along with some jewelry and heels for a more formal look. And you can't see it in these photos - but it has a really pretty pearl zipper-pull on the back! But I will say it runs a little small - so order up a size!
