Gone Glam

Remember this skirt? I styled it with a crop top a few weeks ago (you can find it here). So today I'm showing you how to make your favorite summer midi skirt "fall-friendly"! This sweater from Loft is SO SOFT. If they had it in other colors, I would own them all! Sadly, they're sold out - but be sure to check your local Loft store! Neutral sweaters like this are my favorites because they go with shorts, jeans, skirts - you can even tie them over a dress. To glam it up, I added my Lisi Lerch Tassel Earrings and studded heels. Farewell to Summer

Summer might officially be over, but it's still 90 degrees here in Arkansas. So here's my (possibly) last summer outfit! I have officially become romper addicted. They are SO easy, no matching pieces, no worries about a gust of wind flying your dress up - just throw it on and go. This chambray one from Gap has quickly become my favorite! It's neutral and goes with absolutely anything. So of course I topped it off with my all-time favorite military vest, and Keds (you're shocked...I know). Shop this look below!

Arkansas Game Day

The Razorbacks might be having a rough season - but I'll always be an Arkansas lover at heart! And thanks to my friend Emily over at I Do Declare Boutique, I'm game day ready! Emily is one of the sweetest girls! She blogs over at I Do Declare, and recently opened up her own boutique along with her mom, Karen, which has the cutest pieces! But hey - she's a fashion blogger, obviously her style is on point. This dress is absolutely perfect for game day (or really any day). You can dress it up or dress it down, it's crazy versatile! I chose to pair it with a chambray button up and my favorite Keds for a casual look - but throw on some heels and you could head to church! Also, do you spy that cute little Arkansas necklace? So. Stinking. Cute. I'm hoping it'll bring some luck to the Hogs and maybe we'll get a win today? Maybe? Well.....to be honest, I have little faith - but at least I look good, am I right?! Mad for Plaid

Okay, it's finally beginning to feel like fall and I could not be more ecstatic! Fall is my all-time favorite season - hot chocolate, fireplaces, crisp weather and pumpkin everything? There's nothing better! So in honor of the changing weather, I obviously had to bring out my favorite fall print - plaid! Who doesn't love a good plaid? I've got tons of plaid shirts (even a vest) - but can you believe that this is my first plaid dress?! Yeah - neither can I! How have I been living without this my entire life? Seriously goes with everything. I paired it with my military vest and booties here - but think how cute it will be with a sweater, leggings and riding boots once it's a little colder! Mine's from http://pureheartsboutique.com/ and will definitely be on repeat all season. Be sure to use code "MUSINGSOFGLITTER" for 20% off your purchase! Shop this look below!

Fall Transitions

Do y'all remember this skirt? I styled it a few weeks ago (check it out here) with a crop top - but today I'm showing you how to make your fave midi skirts fall-friendly. This sweater from Loft is SO SOFT! If they had it in other colors, I would own them all. It's cute with jeans, skirts, shorts - even tied over a dress. So I figured it would be the perfect piece to pair with my TJ Sewer skirt to transition into cooler weather! And to glam it up a little, I added in my Lisi Lerch Tassel Earrings and studded heels. My Staple Accessories

I'm a firm believer that accessories can make or break an outfit. I spend more time then I would like to admit picking out my shoes, jewelry and purse in the morning! But after a LONG time, I've finally found a few staple pieces that seriously go with everything! These shoes from @zvelle are officially the perfect nude heels. The heel isn't too high, so they're comfortable to walk in and they've got the cutest little cut out on the toe! I love nude heels because they elongate the leg and are neutral enough to go with any outfit. Be sure to check out zvelle.com for classic shoes with a modern twist! My jewelry staples come from brands which I'm sure you're familiar with (if you're not...you NEED to check them out) - Kendra Scott and Loren Hope. The Frances Necklace in iridescent peach is from Kendra Scott's new line and I'm obsessed! It's such a gorgeous color. And my bracelet is the large Sarra Cuff in iridescent from Loren Hope! And last but not least - my clutch. Y'all - this purse CHARGES YOUR PHONE. And it has come in handy more times than I can count - plus this gold color is my all-time favorite color for purses! Again - it will go with every outfit you own. Shop this look below!

Party Pants

I have two words that will change your lives my friends. Palazzo Pants. They couldn't be more flowy or comfy and bonus - they just so happen to be in fashion right now. Win win! I teamed up with one of my fave Arkansas blogger gals, Megan from Pretty is as Pretty Does, to style pieces from one of our all time favorite boutiques - Maude! Surprisingly we didn't see each other's outfits or photos until last night, and YES they turned out eerily similar. I guess two minds think alike! But y'all - back to these pants. I can't stop wearing them! They have been on serious repeat in my closet recently. They're a bold pattern, but I feel like they go with any solid top. I've paired them with white, olive, coral - you name it! They are so versatile and I just can't get enough! And cant we talk about this dress Megan's wearing for a sec? Um, hello gorgeous! I'm a firm believer that you can never own too many shift dress.

Be sure to check out Maude Boutique and head over to Megan's page and say hello! Happy Monday y'all!

Twiggy Mod

I'm officially about to start my 4th week in graduate school and can I just say that I've NEVER been this exhausted? This week was only 4 days, thanks to Labor Day, and it was still the longest week of my entire life! Any other grad students out there? Is everyone this insanely busy? Craziness! But I got these sunnies in the mail last week and it was just the pick me up I needed! Can we talk about these for a sec? I mean, hello! Can I have a pair in every color!? I love how retro they are and they have a cat-eye shape which is always my fave! And yes, I paired it with the iconic chambray ruffle dress. I've been seeing it on every blogger in the entire world all summer and eventually broke down and ordered one. But I absolutely love it - definitely a good purchase! To top it all off (I know you're all shocked because I never wear these...wink, wink) I added my favorite pair of Lisi Lerch tassels!

Don't forget to check out http://edgeiwear.com/ for gorgeous sunglasses at crazy affordable prices (mine are only $14.99!)

Donut Stop Believing

If there's one thing I've learned from grad school so far - it's that I might {quite possibly} be a stress eater. Yes, I know it's horrible, but I've been living off of pizza, oreos and chips for the past 3 weeks. But the all-time best comfort food? Hands down a good donut. So clearly I needed this "Donut Stop Believing" tee! Not only does it feature my favorite food, but it's a good reminder to keep on moving along towards my goal! Grad school is KICKING my butt - but I've realized I've just got to keep my head down and power through! Also, if you haven't checked out Arsenic and Lace yet - you need to! They make this adorable tee and tons of others! Any Gilmore Girl fans out there? They have the perfect tee for you (and me, I'll probably end up ordering one). I'm team Dean forever!

And let's talk about these sunnies for a second. If you're like me - you buy a pair of expensive sunglasses but then never wear them because you're afraid you'll scratch/break them! Well friends, I have the solution! Nectar Sunglasses offers fashion forward sunnies at a price that won't break your bank. So take them hiking, biking, rafting - wherever you want - without the stress! Okay, I'm off to bed (yes, it's 9pm) because like I said, grad school is definitely beginning to take a toll and these 6am mornings aren't getting any easier. Hah! Night all!

Game Day

It's game day here in the south! And just in case you didn't already know - us southern girls take our game day fashion VERY seriously. When I started college freshman year I figured you just wore a t-shirt and jeans to the game. But I quickly found out it goes WAY beyond that. Most girls are in dresses and heels, so it was clear that I needed to step up my Razorback wardrobe.  Now, I'm not one who typically enjoys watching football (I know...it's like a crime here in the south) - but I LOVE tailgating! Fun atmosphere, great friends and delicious food - count me in! So of course when I walked into RiffRaff the other day and saw this "Meet Me at the Tailgate xoxo" tank, I had to have it! The best thing about this tank is that you can dress it up, or dress it down depending on where you're headed! I chose to dress mine up by pairing it with a leopard kimono and some nude heels. But how cute would this be with cutoff's and Keds?! It's a win-win! So wherever you are, I hope you're having a fabulous game day - but I have three words for y'all. Woo Pig Sooie!

Windblown Florals

Okay, so it might still be ridiculously hot here in Arkansas – but I can’t wait for fall! So despite the heat, I’m slowing mixing some fun fall pieces with my current summer staples. I seriously wear this Karen Kane black swing dress at least once (or twice) a week. I’m officially a swing dress addict – they’re beyond comfy and bonus – you can throw it on and go. No matching required. But to get my “fall fashion” fix, I threw on the floral sleeveless vest from Jack by B.B Dakota! To top it all off I added this fun “Eye of the Tiger” necklace from one of my favorite companies – Paisley and Sparrow.
Now, if you haven’t heard of Paisley and Sparrow you have got to check them out! They’re a jewelry company whose mission is to carry high quality, beautiful products that support social issues around the world. By purchasing a piece of her jewelry you can help make a difference in the world! My necklace was hand crafted by a survivor of modern day slavery. I love that Paisley and Sparrow allows you to support incredible causes, just by choosing what you spend your money on. Not only is this necklace gorgeous – but I have piece of mind that my money is going to help someone else. And to me, that’s the best of both worlds! Don’t forget to check out her beautiful jewelry at www.paisleyandsparrow.com! Use code "glitter" for 20% off your purchase!
