Fruity Fun

I may not be a fan of the heat, but I am 100% a fan of summer fashion. Bright florals, vivid colors and in this case - fun fruits! I recently ran across the CUTEST boutique on Instagram, Farmers Daughter Boutique. They carry some of my favorite brands and have the best sense of style. Every time I scroll through their Instagram, I'm like "I want that, I want that, I want that" - because it's all adorable! These ruffle shorts paired perfectly with this fruity top. And if this top doesn't scream "summer" I don't know what does. It's perfect for vacation or just a casual weekend. Seeing as though I will be stuck at grad school all summer - it's the perfect outfit to brighten up my Saturday's!

Golden Summer

So for some odd reason, I decided it was a great idea to shoot barefoot in a creek bed. Why? Who knows. But I can say from first hand experience that stepping on sharp, mossy rocks may not have been my best idea - BUT beauty is pain ammirite!?

And this gold dress (from my favorite friends over at Maude) deserved a gorgeous background! So it was totally worth it. This dress is the perfect shade of gold and has the most intricate braided detailing in the back!  Plus - y'all know how much I love flowy dresses for warmer temps; so easy to throw on and go. Function of Beauty

We all know how important it is to take care of our skin - we use moisturizers, toners, cleaners you name it! But sometimes I forget that it's just as important to take care of my hair. My hair is SO long, and easily gets lots of split ends and frizz galore. So when I decided it was time to start taking better care of it, I didn't even know where to begin. I've never used a ton of hair products, but the products I did use were just random brands I picked up at the grocery store without really even looking at what I was buying.

Enter Function of Beauty. This is a new company specializing in creating completely individualized shampoo/conditioner sets. When you head to their site, you first fill out a "hair profile" (for example, mine was wavy, medium thickness, oily scalp) and then you can choose up to 5 goals. I choose volume, color protect, strengthen and a few more! Once you've got your formula picked out, you can then choose your colors and scents. And bonus - all of their products are free of parabans, sulfates, phthalates, GMOs and triclosan. I've been using it for about a week now and I absolutely love it! If you're currently using a random drugstore shampoo/conditioner combo, you won't believe the difference it makes!!! My hair is thanking me already.
